Cathedral Rock Elopement with Justen and Cherisse
I’m beyond excited to share Justen and Cherisse’s Sedona elopement photos with you! These babes are so sweet and we had a rad time hiking and exploring Cathedral Rock together. Justen and Cherisse had to change their big wedding plans because of Covid but still decided to get hitched at a local courthouse. They dreamt of taking magical photos in Sedona to celebrate, so that’s exactly what we did! It may have been pretty damn different from their original wedding plan, but in the end, was perfect for them. Justen and Cherisse are my kinda people. 🙂
I’ve photographed at Cathedral Rock several times, but for this shoot, we did things a little differently. Instead of hiking all the way up, we stopped about three-quarters of the way up and paused to take the first set of photos. The scenery was fantastic, the greenery in full bloom, and the red rocks were our backdrop. It was incredible!
We then hiked to the very top, which if you’ve never been, is an unbelievable view! It’s 100% worth the hike to the top and there’s a reason it’s so popular. We explored the cliff, took more photos, and then hiked back down with plenty of time before it got dark. An adventure well worth it!
