Sunrise Proposal at Monument Valley with Suzy Goodrick
Kay and Shruti traveled from the Pacific Northwest for a sunrise proposal at Monument Valley to pop the famous question – will you marry me? Kay even already had a plan in mind for how to pop the question with me nearby, how brilliant! I quickly became their “Photo Tour Guide” and showed them the best spots to photograph the buttes. It was an elaborate scheme so that I could secretly capture Kay’s proposal. But I’ll let you in on a little secret, I’ve never been good at acting. I’m pretty sure Shruti was suspicious and knew something was coming, but she played along and happily said yes.
It was a dreamy, sunrise proposal with just us and the beautiful buttes. We explored the valley together, celebrated, and took photos to commemorate a one-of-a-kind experience. I’ll never forget the sunrise and the way Shruti cried and said yes – it was unbelievable!
Kay’s proposal to Shruti was an adventure of a lifetime. I’m beyond grateful to have been a part of it and can’t wait to share more from their Seattle wedding!
If you love these photos, you’ll also love Chandler and Lauren’s Sedona engagement photos. Their photos showoff the red rocks of the Southwest and you don’t want to miss it.
PS. If you’re curious, Shruti’s ring was custom designed by Kay and made by Teresa Robinson at Tiro Tiro Studio. It’s a stunning, gold rectangular ring that is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s the perfect ring for Shruti.
