Destination Wedding in Cancun with Libby and Julia
This is a deeply special wedding I get to share with you. Libby and Julia are some of the best humans I know and they planned a rad weekend in Cancun to celebrate their love for one another.
Libby and Julia invited their closest family and friends to swim, drink, and party the weekend away at an all-inclusive resort in the heart of Cancun. I was lucky enough to be invited as their photographer, so both me and my second photographer spent a weekend with them!
They kicked off the weekend with a welcome bonfire on the beach. Guests had delicious paloma’s and s’mores and watched the sunset behind the resort, it was pretty damn magical.
The following day was the wedding! Libby got ready at the resort’s spa and Julia got ready in their suite. It was a perfect, slow morning before the festivities began! Julia and Libby got dressed together and then we explored the resort for their portraits. One of my favorite parts of their day is that they incorporated so many friends and family into their ceremony. They carefully and intentionally chose who would walk them down the aisle, officiate the ceremony, and read poems. The ceremony was truly a reflection of them and in my opinion, that’s the most important aspect of planning a ceremony.
We celebrated the night away with toasts, dancing, and an open bar. Julia and Libby’s wedding day was so lovely and a blast to photograph. I’m so grateful for the experience to travel to Cancun and photograph their wedding. But more than that, I’m grateful to call them friends. Julia and Libby, thank you for having me. 💞
