Friends, I’m stoked to share more about calligrapher and graphic design extraordinaire, Fox Lane Creative! Andrea is a sweet gal who I have gotten to know over the past year or so. She’s an amazing creative and so sweet to work with! Take a peek at her work and our chat below. 🙂
How long has Fox Lane Creative been around and why are you passionate about it?
I started Fox Lane Creative in 2017 as a way to combine my love of calligraphy with my graphic design career. I’ve always been a list maker and I write my lists out by hand each day because I LOVE handwriting. Pointed pen calligraphy is so therapeutic to me. Sitting with my tea, calligraphy pen, and some blues music and I’m one happy girl!
What kind of events do you offer calligraphy for?
I can create calligraphy for anything you wish to celebrate! Wedding invitations and wedding paper items are the most popular calligraphy products requested by my clients but I also love creating special pieces for birthdays, baby showers, holiday celebrations, and even brand launches.
Who are your fave couples to work with?
I really enjoy couples who have a no-fuss, laid back approach to life and who just have the most fun together no matter what they’re doing. Bonus points if they can quote Friends tv show episodes.
How early should couples hire Fox Lane?
As soon as couples get engaged and they begin planning their wedding they should start planning their wedding paper and signage needs, typically 8-12 months before the wedding. If they don’t have everything figured out early on, that’s totally fine! I’m happy to help create a plan that couples can use as a guide through the wedding paper process.
What else would you like to share with us?
I fully embrace the “makers gonna make” lifestyle. One day I’m decorating a cake, and the next I’m knitting a blanket. I’m pretty sure I’m a sassy grandma trapped in a 30-something year old’s body. But, like, in a cool way haha. I’m happiest when I’m making things!
