10 Date Night Ideas

10 Date Night Ideas

1. Picnic in the Backyard

Grab your favorite blanket, the best local takeout you can find, a couple of cocktails, and take advantage of the amazing weather outside. Maybe even bring a Bluetooth speaker and put on your favorite jams.

2. Build a Fort and Watch a Movie

A tried and true fave. Who says you have to be a kid to make a fort and watch a movie? All it takes are a few sheets and blankets, snacks, cocktails, and your favorite tv show for a romantic night in.

3. Have a Bake-off

Can you tell there’s a common thread between these ideas? In case you missed it, it’s FOOD. And we’re not stopping here. Have a bake-off! This idea is inspired by Cheval and Conrad Louis, they have the most epic bake-off’s and share them on Instagram Stories! So grab a new recipe (get ideas here) and have a little competition. 😉 Loser does the dishes?

4. Start a Puzzle

Puzzles aren’t for the faint of heart. We all know they can take a while, so if you’re looking for ways to pass the time while spending quality time together, puzzles are a solid idea.

5. Finish a Puzzle

We all know a puzzle is impossible to finish in one night, so keep it out for a few nights and work on it little by little. Once it’s finished, carefully glue the puzzle together with modge podge (2 layers on each side) and frame it. Now it’s a work of art!

6. Hit the Road

If you’re itching to get out of the house, hit the road and drive-thru your fave local coffee shop. Find a pretty place to watch the sunset or stargaze. 😉

7. Have a Virtual Date

Just because you’re apart right now doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected with your babe or friends! You can play games virtually on the House Party App or on Jackbox TV. Grab a drink, snuggle on the couch, and connect with your babe or friends virtually!

8. Game Night

Cook a delicious home-cooked meal and play a game or two! Here are some of my faves!

Date Night in a Box
Ticket to Ride (I love the San Francisco edition)
Santorini (pictured below)
Disney’s Villainous
Settlers of Catan

9. Go for a Walk

Start a FaceTime call or grab your boo, get outside, and spend some quality time together. Get some much-needed Vitamin D and go on a romantic walk.

10. Get Dolled Up

Dress up in your fanciest outfit, set the table with candles, turn on Khalid in the background, and share a meal in the comfort of your own home. Mix and match from the previous date night ideas and enjoy a quiet night in!

Bonus Date Night Idea: Write A Love Letter

For couples who are going through long-distance, there’s nothing better than the magic of a handwritten note from the one you love. Get sappy, cheesy, and pour your heart out.
