Adam and Lindsay’s Desert Puppy Photo Session
I’ve known Lindsay since our high school days and was stoked when she asked me to photograph her family! Lindsay and Adam wanted a session to celebrate their love for one another and their love for their fur babies! We had so much fun exploring the Superstition Mountains with their pups and taking photos. It was the best time! Lindsay and Adam, thank you for having me take your photos. I can’t wait for your next photo session!
It’s always fun to include animals in a photo session, but there are a few tips and tricks for them to go smoothly. Here are a few easy ways to have a stress-free photo session.
1 ~ Bring a friend!
I always recommend having a friend of the fur animal join the session. This way the animal is comfortable and has someone to get their attention and can provide a place for the animals to hang if the parents want photos alone.
2 ~ Bring treats!
Treats are always a good incentive for your animal for a job well done. 🙂
3 ~ Location, location, location
Considering the location of your session for your animal is key. The desert can be difficult for anxious or older animals, so keep that in mind. Ideally, locations for these sessions may need to be close to the car. Bring water, leashes, and treats and you’ll be all set!
If you love Adam and Lindsay’s Desert Puppy Photo Session, I’ve got more puppy love for ya! Here are some of my favorite fur animal sessions:
Camille and Luke’s Papago Park Session
Brenden and Emily’s Engagement Session
Malik and Alyx’s Desert Proposal
Pro Tip: Ask your photographer if they’d be willing to snap a few headshots individually at the end of your photo session. It’s an easy way to update your profile photo, linkedin profile, or business card!
