The Back Story
About four years ago, I jump started my photography business after being a hobbyist for several years. I knew I needed a website to show off my portfolio but didn’t have the means to invest my life savings (or lack thereof) into a new website. Enter: Go Live and Showit to the rescue!
Go Live is a rad company started by Promise Tangeman all with the mission to help creatives launch what they love by providing design options for websites! Showit provides one-of-a-kind drag and drop software for creatives to build and host their websites, all without coding and technical jargon! I felt like I won the lottery with Showit and Go Live!
I purchased a template from Go Live in the fall of 2014 and a few weeks later, launched my first Showit website! This website allowed me to show my portfolio to clients and spread the word about my skills and services. It was the perfect beginning for my photography business!
The Current Story
My first Go Live template was a crucial foundational step for my photography business. Soon after, business began to explode and I needed to refine my ideal client and the experience clients have with me. I began to brainstorm an updated brand and I knew from the very beginning that Go Live had to be a part of the process. I spent the latter half of 2016 rebranding (you can read my 10 steps for a successful rebrand here) and thanks to the amazing team at Go Live, they restyled one of their pre-designed templates and launched my new site in 5 days! Say what?! That’s an unheard of turn around time, by the way. 😉
