Warehouse 215 Wedding

Give us a brief description of who you are:

I’m Shiloh, a wedding planning and day-of coordination company in the beautiful state of Arizona!

How and when did you get started in this industry?

I started as an intern with a wedding planning company and moved into planning weddings for friends and family. Fast forward through corporate planning and working at a local venue, I eventually branched out and started Shiloh Kay Creations and am loving every second it!

Warehouse 215 WeddingWhat’s your favorite part of being a wedding planner?

Everyone loves the couple’s story and seeing the day and their vision come to life but I’d have to say my favorite part of being a planner is watching the first dance. No matter how crazy the day has been (or will be) and no matter what I’m doing, I always take a moment at every event to watch the first dance. There’s something about the song each couple chooses and the way they dance. There is so much love and admiration in their eyes, it’s been known to draw a tear or two from me. But my second favorite thing (yes, I can have two!) would be creating something new and different. Something that has never been done at a wedding before. It happens usually a few times during each planning process and I adore it!

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way?

I’ve learned to have a great deal of respect for all of the vendors in the industry. The vendors I work with are so good at their craft and knowing that we are all in it together is a huge comfort to a wedding planner! I couldn’t do my job if it weren’t for the awesome vendors!

Warehouse 215 WeddingWhat’s unique about you and what you offer?

The experience I have gained by working in almost every role in the industry from bartender to venue coordinator, private to corporate planner proves to be invaluable to my couples. In addition, one of the unique services that I offer includes my Inspiration Sessions. It’s for the couples who aren’t hiring a planner but still want the inside scoop on the industry. Couples can book a session with me and get a “real-life” Pinterest board but with more experience! 😉

How early should couples hire a planner?

It’s never too early to think about a planner! A big misconception in the wedding industry is that couples don’t need a planner. Even if couples solely hire a planner for day of coordination, having peace of mind during the big day is completely priceless.

What is your favorite Starbucks drink?

If it’s a Starbucks day, I’ll go with a strawberry acai refresher or a caramel brûlée latte!
