I’m SO pumped for today’s topic! I get to introduce to you my killer intern, Sam!
This girl is the real deal guys.
Sam and I were introduced through a local wedding planner, Moelleux Events. Sam filled in last minute as a behind the scenes photographer for a styled shoot and thus, our friendship began! Over the next several weeks I learned that Sam was looking to build her already growing photography business and was slowly looking for a mentor. As the Fall months came to an end, I found myself considering the need for a Spring intern. We decided this was the perfect fit for us!
I’m incredibly passionate about living and breathing community over competition in the artist community. There is enough work to go around and we only benefit from sharing and learning together. Finding a tribe of photographers and like-minded entrepreneurs is the key to finding community in this sometimes lonely life. I love my job, but it’s 10000% times better with the amazing people I get to call co-workers and friends.
Sam and I are meeting up weekly to dive into the inner workings of business and personal brands and what makes them tick. Last week we shared our goals for the year and created plans on kickin’ their bootays! You can see my short & sweet 2017 goal list on Instagram!
Sam is also working behind the scenes at SGP and is training to be a second shooter; this girl is KILLIN IT! So for all my Spring 2017 couples, remember this face. Sam will be my right hand lady!

1 // Sam’s drink of choice is an iced soy chai. YUM!
2 // She’s a proud Harry Potter lover and will finally be visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter next month in Orlando!!
3 // Sam’s a hair dye aficionado. Her hair has at some point been pink, red, orange, blue, gray, or purple. Most recently she had blue hair. 🙂
4 // She can recite about 50 digits of Pi on command. Like, really?!
5 // She has a pet hamster Zuko, named after the prince.
