5 Ways to Display Your Wedding Photos

5 Ways to Display Your Wedding Photos

It’s such an exciting moment to finally get those wedding photos and spend hours gushing over them.  I’ve been a bride and I remember those butterflies as each photo came onto the screen, each photo better than the last.

After you’ve circled through your gallery a few times, you might share your favorites to insta stories immediately or maybe keep them to yourself for a few days. You might send texts to your mom and maid of honor, practically screaming that you’ve finally got them! And these are all great things!! I’m definitely not going to downplay the importance of sharing your favorite photos online; but I will admit, the art of printing our images is quickly fading, but I don’t believe it has to.

I believe there is magic in holding your wedding album that has your favorite photos spread across its pages. I believe images come to life when they’re printed and hung in your home for you and your friends to enjoy. And best of all, I believe tangible products are still the best way to preserve your memories.

Here are a few rad ways to display your wedding photos!

1. Prints

There are a million ways to display prints. A quick Pinterest search will have your mind spinning, but here’s one minimalistic look I love. Pair a single print with your vows. Not only does it create a unique work of art, but each time you look at it, you’ll remember the deep love you share. (I personally have a set printed from Sam’s Club, it’s affordable and good quality!) Check out Target or Ikea for frames.

2. Canvas & Wall Mounts

There are lots of rad new materials to print photos on. Wood and metal prints are becoming more popular, but my personal favorite is a canvas with a wooden frame. Isn’t that unique?! (Mpix is my go to for prints!)

3. Albums

Albums are the perfect heirloom option. Your family will spend a lifetime looking through them and they’ll be passed on to your children’s children. It’s a legacy worth investing in. Plus, they are just really beautiful. 🙂 See more about the albums I offer here!

4. Gifts

Printing and framing formal family photos can be such a sweet sentiment for your family. A little gesture can go a long way. Find a beautiful frame, order the print, write a sweet thank you card, and you’re good to go!

5. Thank You & Holiday Cards

Take advantage of your beautiful wedding images and utilize them for future thank you and holiday cards! Friends and family will love the gesture and you’ll love showing off your favorite photos. Win-win! Head over to Basic Invite for 20% off with my code, info below!

A little secret from me to you:
As a photographer, I spend hours making sure each and every one of your photos is perfect. The bummer is, not every company that offers tangible goods have top-notch professional printers. So those photos that have been carefully crafted may not look so hot coming out of a Walgreen’s printer. Your best bet is to chat with your photographer and ask about their products. Photographers have GREAT hookups on all kinds of goodies. You’ll get the best quality and the best prices, not to mention you’ll feel super warm and fuzzy about supporting your local small business owner. 😉
