I first met Melissa when photographing a wedding at Webster Farm over a year ago. She designed and coordinated that wedding and since then, has become a close friend. We’ve worked together A TON the last several months as she has kick started her business and has been KILLIN it in the industry already. Give us a brief description of who you are!
I am an Arizona Native who loves to travel! I have been married for almost 5 years, my wife is my greatest muse! I have two adorable puppies. I love to do all different kinds of crafts and I love music. Concerts are my jam!
How long ago did you open Moelleux Events?
Moelleux Events officially became open for business in May 2016. It has long been a dream and started with close friends and family over the years; and I took the plunge this summer to bring Moelleux Events to life!
Where did your inspiration come from to open a wedding planning business?
After spending 20 years in the hospitality industry, I have found that wedding and event planning is my passion. The creativity, the design, the planning, the timelines; all of it! There is an excitement that comes from helping others create their perfect event that fills my cup.
What’s unique about you and what you offer?
Moelleux Events is unique because we want to help create the day of your dreams! It’s all about your one-of-a-kind love and the new life you are starting! We treat each and every couple with the uniqueness they desire; we work to make each event special and specific to you. Whether it is a traditional event, or a wild and creative party, we are here for it all!
How early should brides begin thinking about a planner?
It can never be too early! I highly suggest taking time to research and find the right fit! Couples may be looking for complete event design and coordination or a day of coordinator; finding a planner who they connect with and who understands their vision is key, so interview early and lock in the date! Also, make sure to have a few questions prepared when you meet with them; find out what their services entail, ask about packages, and find out who will be present on the day of your event. Those are just to name a few! 🙂
What’s your favorite aspect of wedding planning?
Learning about my couples! My favorite part is connecting with each couple, understanding their vision and helping them create their magical day! Being able to meet with a couple and bring their vision to life is nothing short of magical.
Do you offer any other services other than wedding planning?
We love all events; baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties, retirement parties. Basically, we love to party! 🙂 I offer design, florals, and catering (coming soon!) when you choose Moelleux Events as your wedding or event coordinator.
