There are some really exciting things brewing for my business! I’ve been working with Amanda from Aloe Creative to really discover more about who I am and who my dream couples are. And let me tell you, it isn’t for the faint of heart. But going through this unearthing process has been so good for my soul. I’m better because of it, my couple’s experience with me will be better because of it, and my images will be better because of it. I truly believe that it’s been one of the best business investments I could have made.
Every business has turning points, heck, life has turning points, and we have to make big and bold decisions. And that’s where I’ve been in my business for a while, I’ve just been a little scared of change. Two years ago I wasn’t sure where this was going to take me or how it would go. Would anyone book me? Would anyone like my images? Could I really make a living from photography? And I say this from a place of gratitude, but the answer is yes, it is working! Haha! Every couple who believes in me allows me to have my dream job, and there’s nothing better than that. My couples truly are the best.
So what does that mean for you, my couples, my brides?!
Well, the obvious visual that comes to mind when redirecting a brand is a new website! Which I’m stoked to launch later this fall. But it isn’t just about a new website. I’m really defining the kind of experience I want my couples to have with me, from start to finish. I’m a big believer in experience. I love when companies make you feel special and not just another business transaction. And the last thing I want to be is just another vendor on a wedding day. I want to be your friend, hear about your dress shopping experience, see your save the dates, even come to your bridal shower!
As I grow in photography and business, I’m finding there are specific aspects I LOVE and I want to hone in on. One of the major parts I love is getting to know my couples and truly capturing their love authentically. This new “brand” won’t be a complete 180 shift from where I am now, but will directly reflect the adventurous spirit of the couples I already love and bring their stories to life in a more vulnerable way. I’m still Suzy Goodrick Photography. I’m still capturing engagements and weddings. Just be ready for a little adventure, a few surprises, and a whole lot of laughs.
