Sunset Sedona Engagement Photos
Engagement sessions in Sedona are always a great idea. The hiking, the red rock views, the local eateries, there are countless places to experience the rich culture and energy that Sedona is known for. One of those epic places, is Cathedral Rock. Cathedral Rock is a popular hiking destination and has recently become a trendy spot for photo sessions. One of my favorite parts of Cathedral Rock is that there are so many hidden corners and places to take photos on the way to the top. If hiking 1.2 miles straight up and gaining 744 feet of elevation isn’t really your thing, there are several great look out points on the way up that are incredibly beautiful.
Colton and Sam decided to brave the entire hike and take their engagement photos at the top, and let me be the first to say, it’s always worth the trek! Just before the top, there’s a gathering of greenery, trees, and cacti. It’s secluded and a great place to begin photos. We then headed to the very top for an epic view of the sunset and more photos. It’s an experience and a photo session wrapped into one. Colton and Sam, thank you for adventuring together! I can’t wait for your Spring wedding, we’re going to make so much more photo magic!
