Goodricks Explore WB Tour and Disneyland

Goodricks Explore WB Tour and Disneyland

Mike and I recently had a wild week of traveling and working, so in typical Goodrick fashion, we added some fun (ahem Disneyland) to our travel plans. I met up with one of my 2018 couples, Scott and Angela, to photograph their engagement photos in Malibu, how freaking cool is that?! They chose El Matador Beach, a sentimental location because Scott almost proposed there. 😉 More on that later when I blog their engagement photos.

El Matador Beach Engagement Session

Mike had the rad opportunity to perform with our friend, Ryan, at his CD release show in Ventura. Mike wrote an incredible spoken word poem to accompany a song on the album, which you can listen to here. IT’S SO GOOD.

After working crazy hard over the weekend, we planned some fun at Warner Bros and Disneyland. Here’s a peek at our adventures, courtesy of my iPhone and snap chat. 😉

Warner Bros. Studio Tour

Warner Bros Studio Tour with Mike GoodrickOne of the best things about a Warner Bros Tour is that they’re tailored to YOU. We filled an oversized golf cart with about 10 people and our tour guide created a one-of-a-kind route around the lot based on the movies and tv shows we love. Mike had experienced the tour once before, but it was my first time.
Here we go!

Warner Bros Studio Tour Spiderman LotSince La La Land has been all the rage, we stopped by the cafe that Mia works at in the film. We didn’t get to go inside, but did get to snap a quick photo outside.
Warner Bros La La Land Coffee ShopI was MOST excited to see where my favorite tv show of all time was filmed, Gilmore Girls. We came around the corner and saw Luke’s Diner from about a block away. Since they aren’t filming the show anymore, the building didn’t look anything like Luke’s, it was gray and desolate, but it was still surreal to see it! Unfortunately, this was the only piece of Gilmore Girls I got to experience. The Gilmore Girls lot was not accessible during our tour, for reasons unknown. It’s also the same lot where Pretty Little Liars was filmed. I was pretty bummed I didn’t actually get to experience this, but the rest of the tour was still great!

Warner Bros Gilmore Girls lot TourWhat would a Warner Bros Tour be without a little Friends? This was definitely a crowd favorite with Central Perk, the couch, oversized coffee mugs, and even Phoebe’s guitar! Smelly cat, smelly cat… 😉

Warner Bros Phoebe's Guitar on Friends Warner Bros Friends Stage SetMy inner 90’s child totally geeked out over the next stop on the tour. Although we didn’t get to see the set of Fuller House, I DID get to see Cosmo, the adorable golden retriever from Fuller House. Spoiler alert, there are actually 2 of them. Just like there were 2 Michelle’s. Gasp! We also saw the remake of the iconic red front door, but that wasn’t too exciting because we lived just 3 blocks from the original Full House in San Francisco. Here’s a photo I quickly snapped of Cosmo as our golf cart buzzed by plus Michelle’s Honeybee uniform. How adorable?!
Warner Bros Tour with Michelle's Bee CostumeNow a little Harry Potter fun for you! We saw Dumbledore’s Army list and Harry’s glasses and wand. AND I was officially dubbed a Hufflepuff!
Warner Bro's Tour Harry Potter hufflepuffLast on our Warner Bros Tour was a forced perspective shot from the Hobbit. In reality, Mike and I were sitting across from one another, but the camera made us look like this! Weird!Warner Bro The Hobbit Forced PerspectiveThe Warner Bros Studio Tour was super fun and I highly recommend it! There also is a great gift shop at the end of the tour with tons of souvenirs from the top tv shows and movies. Somehow I didn’t walk away with my life savings spent in Gilmore Girls memorabilia. 😉

Disneyland

Disneyland is one of my favorite traditions with Mike. We’ve gone for our first and second anniversaries, but unfortunately, our third anniversary fell in the middle of crazy wedding season, so this trip was a belated celebration.

When we experience Disney, we go hard. We spent about 13 hours in the park, which required approximately 3 coffees and 1 nap at Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Whatever it takes, right?

Mike and Suzy at DisneylandOne of the highlights of Disneyland was seeing Anthony and Victoria on their honeymoon. I photographed their wedding only a few days prior, how crazy is that?!
Couple on Honeymoon in Disneyland Happy Anniversary Buttons at Disneyland One of our favorite Disneyland traditions is collecting pressed pennies. We bring a ton of pennies and quarters and stop at each machine and choose our favorites. It creates a fun scavenger hunt throughout the park and we walk away with fun souvenirs.
Disneyland Buzz Lightyear Ride and Penny Pressed CoinsIt’s no secret that part of my love for Disneyland is the food. The Mickey Shaped Beignets in New Orleans are the BOMB.

Goodrick's Visit Warner Bros and Disneyland Dole Whip at Disneyland AdventurelandWe ended our crazy day with the Main Street Electrical Parade, which is rumored to be ending soon. Either way, it was a great experience!

The Goodrick’s exploring Warner Brothers and Disneyland was one for the books. We loved every aspect, both work and play. Now, I just need a vacation from my vacation. 😉
