Spending time exploring the city streets of San Francisco is one of my things, but exploring the forests and secret spots surrounding the city are even MORE fun!
In April I spent a glorious week with my best friend Meghan, we got a glimpse into what life would be like if we ever lived together. We always said we wouldn’t be roommates because we didn’t want to compromise our friendship, but I’m happy to report it was such a fun time “living” together for a week!
Even though I’ve been a photographer for quite some time, I can count the number of times I’ve photographed my girl Meg on one hand. I figured being in SF would make the perfect excuse to put her in front of the camera. I wanted to take as many dark and moody portraits in the forest as possible, so we grabbed our friend Yama and headed to Mount Davidson!
We hiked up the mountain and into the forest and wandered until we discovered great light and a perfect backdrop. It’s SO good for my soul to just grab a camera and go with it, no plan, no ideas in my mind. I tried a few new techniques and I’m stoked with the outcome. I hope you are too. 🙂
This killer portrait of Meg (above) was taken by Yama. How awesome is that?!
If you want to see more adventurous photos, including coffee, touring Fitbit HQ’s, and a mini greenhouse, read my SF Trip blog post here!
